Crazy For Savoury Chickpea Pancakes

I tried these at Life n One in Dubai and was so impressed I had to make my own version at home. So simple to do.

I put this under breakfast, but to be honest I could eat it for lunch and dinner too, every day.

Serves 1 (large size)


1 cup of chickpea flour

1 cup of plant-based milk

1tbsp olive oil

salt and pepper for seasoning – I personally use a lot of salt


  1. In a bowl chuck in the flour and milk and whisk. You want a medium consistency – not to runny and not too chunky, so add extra milk accordingly.
  2. In a saucepan heat the olive oil. Then on a medium heat pour in the pancake mix.
  3. Allow to cook underneath before using the spatula to loosen the pancake and flip to cook the other side.
  4. Eat as is with a drizzle of olive oil or take it up a notch and serve with ham and vegan cheese in the middle (fold over and enjoy).
